![]() ![]() Thanks again for your support of The Inn and Tavern at Meander. We hope you will return again soon and see all of our improvements and enhancements to the property. Due to many kind 5-star reviews from supportive guests like you, we made it through the pandemic! Though it was an extremely difficult year for us, we feel extremely appreciative more than ever for our fans that helped push us through to a brighter other side. We wanted to shoot you a note to say thanks for leaving this review several years ago. We hope to share that with you on a return visit soon. We are proud of the direction we are going and the progress we have made. With the changes we have made, I believe we deliver a better service now than ever. I am the new owner and have tried my very hardest to improve all aspects of the Meander for future guests. Since your visit in 2015, we have actually changed ownership. Hello klickl! A belated and massive thank you for this incredible review of us at the Inn and Tavern at Meander. Starched white napkins was a great touch, and you can just imagine Thomas Jefferson nodding his head in approval as he walked the long drive disappearing in the morning mist amongst the daffodils. (bring closed shoes) There is one seating for breakfast in the morning and the selections are well portioned and nicely prepared. There were over 80 acres of gently rolling paths for us to explore. Early sights in the morning ran the gamut of horses grassing on spring growth, a Gardner gently cultivating the natural herb garden used to enhance the evening meals in the main house. The grounds were out of a romance novel with the greenest pastures we had ever seen. We purchased wine from the main house by the glass at a reasonable cost. Our pets were treated with homemade tasty treats specially prepared by the sous chef on the property! We had access to hot coffee and tea in our room and in the main house 24 hours a day. What luck! The king bed was full of pillows and we sunk into a deep sleep each night with the sounds of hoot owls outside our windows. We couldn't believe that we were automatically upgraded to the beautiful and roomy "summer kitchen". We added on the romantic package to our pet package and received beautiful red roses, lushess chocolates, iced sparkling white wine, all served right in our "automatic upgraded" accommodations. (make sure you select package deals for the best value) The following day we had a picnic lunch made up of seasoned white chicken breast, apples, homemade chocolate and raisins cookies, bottled (at the source) spring water, and a side of sweet peppers. She lead us right to our room, and brought a beautiful hot dinner basket to us with fresh asparagus soup, pork loin, broccoli reb, mashed potatoes, flour-less chocolate cake, (so decadent) real plates and napkins, bread and butter.all included in our package. We were greeted by Suzanne, the manager and she made us feel welcome without wondering what we were suppose to do next. If you need high tea and a chatty host, this isn't the B&B for you, however if you want all the comforts of home that "beams you up and back" to the 1700's, then you found you place to relax, unwind, and even get some work done on free Wifi. Our pets were treated with homemade tasty treats specially prepared. ![]() ![]()
